It was 1929. A quiet tennis match at the Merion Cricket Club
Lionel Ogden, a Stanford student, was competing in the Intercollegiate Championship.
Then a photographer clicked the shutter. The frame captured calm focus, an elegant return, silent confidence. The image was archived and nearly forgotten.
Decades later, we discovered and acquired the photograph, which has since become a symbol of Carlstone and now resides in our small museum.
There is no finish line in the quest for excellence.
In every detail, we honor time, craft, and the quiet pursuit of better.
As the founder, I’m inspired by discipline and elegance — the focus of a tennis match, the rhythm of nature, and craftsmanship meeting purpose. Carlstone is not about trends; it’s about lasting style, thoughtful details, and pieces that feel alive with intention.
